Is your romance with that special someone cooling off? Do you worry that the spark is going to go out? Look no further. Here are 15 hot tips to make your romance sizzle.

1. Use edible pain to create masterpieces on each other's bodies. If you don't have or can't find edible paint, use chocolate syrup or whip cream.

2. If you are looking for action later in the evening, eat a light dinner for a better ability to perform.

3.

Create a fantasy box. Cover an old shoe box with white paper and use markers to paint some romantic scenes or hearts on it. You and your partner should write fantasies on slips of paper and put them in the box. When you are both in the mood, draw out a fantasy and make it into a reality.

4. Have your partner close their eyes, or blindfold them and then experiment with sensations.

Use a feather, aromatherapy oils or ice to enhance their pleasure. Rub their lips with ice until they are cold and then kiss them with your warm lips. This is very erotic.

5. Go a little crazy and plan a sexual adventure. Make a date when each of you comes prepared for a sexual fantasy.

You can dress in costumes or use sex toys to spark the enthusiasm.

6. Set the mood. Use aromatherapy candles and romantic music, or dim the lights and spend time together sipping a glass of wine. Fireplaces are romantic as well. Light a fire and cuddle up on it with your partner and then seek out all of those pleasure spots.

Making love before a fire is very romantic.

7. Ladies can wear sexy lingerie - not. Go out to dinner and tell your partner about your bare essentials. If you can give him a peek without allowing others a glimpse, use the situation to your advantage.

8. Put a drop of edible oil in your partner's favorite flavor someplace on your body that you know they will lick.

This gives a pleasant surprise and stimulates sensitivity.

9. Take your partner shopping...for sex toys. If you are embarrassed to go into a sex toy shop, do your erotica shopping online. There are a wide variety of sites that offer sex toys that will add romance to any couple's life.

10. Experiment with a vibrator.

Each person can use it on the other to find those "pleasure spots." Once you find them, return to them time after time for a sensual lovemaking experience.

Acne can often be considered the worst thing to happen to a teenager. Where in the world does it come from and how do you get rid it once you have it? They are a source of endless embarrassment and inconvenience! And while everyone has suffered from them to some extent, no one likes them. Major culprits in causing acne can be simple hormones.

Specifically, the male hormone 'testosterone' can cause acne. During puberty the teenagers' body is changing. During this time, most teenagers produce abnormal levels of the male hormone testosterone.

Most people outgrow this condition by their early twenties, but with some people it lasts longer.

Women also produce additional hormones during the menstrual cycle, and for many women this can lead to more problems with acne. If this occurs, visiting with a doctor or other medical professional can provide a cure or remedy.

There is also a medical theory that stress contributes to acne because it causes an increased output of hormones from the adrenal glands. Additionally, hyperactive sebaceous glands are secondary to other hormone sources, menstrual cycle, stress and testosterone.

Some people's bodies also over produce something called sebum, which is a contributing factor to acne. While this is not the only cause, it certainly contributes. Add to this the accumulation of bacteria in the pores of the skin, dead skin cells accumulation, and irritation caused by scratching or rubbing.

Acne can also be caused, or made much worse by the use of anabolic steroids, used by some athletes.

Also some medications contain halogens, including iodides, chlorides, and bromides. These medications can contribute to acne, as can lithium, barbiturates and androgens. Chlorine exposure can also cause a type of acne known as chloracne, which is especially severe and can be long lasting.

With the knowledge that hormones play a major role in causing acne, many of the misconceptions about acne can be addresses and discounted. One of these is diet. For many years people thought that fried foods and chocolate caused acne.

There are a couple of reasons for this. People associated fried foods with oily skin, and assumed that consuming oil or grease had to make the skin greasy and more prone to acne. This is not the case. Also, teenagers are food-consuming machines. In fact, many dieticians have said that the fact that teenagers consumer so much food is the main reason their diets usually include nutritious foods - the fact that they eat everything.

However, pizza, hamburgers, French fries, chocolate shakes, candy bars, and other foods that are often favorites of teenagers, have been erroneously blamed for acne for years.

While eating good, nutritious foods and making sure that you include vegetables, fruits, lean meats and whole grains in your diet will certainly improve your health, and therefore might improve acne, there is no direct link of diet and acne. French fries are not to blame, and neither are pizza or candy bars. There is just no real connection.

Also, bad personal hygiene has been blamed for acne and caused many teenagers embarrassment. No matter how clean they kept their faces they still had zits. In addition, excessive cleaning can actually make acne worse.

If the skin is damaged by rough washing, or becomes dried out, then chances are acne will be worse. Also many over the counter products sold to make acne better can actually clog pores and make acne worse as well.

There are many good treatments available for acne. Of course, seeing your doctor is best. Many good prescription drugs are available. Many of these drugs can control the output of testosterone, and some can help women with menstrual cycle difficulties.

If that is not an option, visit a pharmacy and consult with the pharmacist on over the counter remedies that are beneficial. Also moderate washing, good nutrition, protection of the skin when out in the sun, and time seem to be the best cures. Be encouraged that with the passage of time, everyone recovers from acne, the bane of the teenager's existence

Light and shadow, hot and cold, extremes of color and emotion. These are the things that will strike you when viewing the paintings of Tom Robinson. Tom's magical talent with light may have a lot to do with the fact that he has been flying since he was 14 years old with most of his flying time in Alaska from Mt. McKinley to the mighty Yukon. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tom is a registered member of the Cherokee tribe with three daughters, two granddaughters and an Abyssinian cat named "Ringo".

Tommy honors his Native American heritage with his love and respect for nature; apparent in his paintings. Tom Robinson has been a commercial pilot/guide flying visitors and mountain climbers around Denali National Park and landing on the glaciers of Mt. McKinley for 16 years. Since he's so busy in the summer he relies on memories of the sky and illuminated mountains to guide him while painting during the dark days of endless Alaska winters. Although there has had no formal instruction in painting he has enjoyed studying books and learning by trial and error.

His favorite painters are Monet, Degas and Winslow Homer. Tom had never shared his work until he was inspired by friends in 1998 to do a "showing" in the small town of Talkeetna, Alaska. His paintings were stored in an old VW van in his driveway. They resurrected his paintings, prepared chocolate fondue with fresh fruit and champagne and invited the town. Tom and his paintings were a smashing success; he's been painting masterpieces ever since! Since the auction, his paintings have taken one of the highest bids at the local public radio, KTNA, 88.5 FM, auction every year (to which he always generously donates).

Swirls of Color offers Giclee Prints of Tom Robinson's work which can be seen on Swirls of Color's web site. www.swirlsofcolor.com You may also contact Amy Knowles, owner, at e-mail protected from spam bots or 207-354-8833..

You may publish this article in your newsletter, on your web site, or other publications, so long as the article's content is not altered and the resource box is included. Add byline and active link. Notification of the use of this article is appreciated, but not required. Total word count included resource box is 594.*** ***Lactose is the primary carbohydrate in milk. Cow's milk contains 4-5% lactose, whereas human milk contains almost twice that amount.

Lactose provides 30-50% of the energy in milk, depending on the fat content (skim vs. homogenized).A number of individuals are affected by lactose in the diet, but there is a difference between intolerance and maldigestion. Lactose maldigestion is "a disorder characterized by reduced digestion of lactose due to the low availability of the enzyme lactase." Lactose intolerance is "the term for gastointestinal symptoms (flatulence, bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and 'rumbling in the bowel') resulting from the consumption of more lactose than can be digested with available lactase." In other words, intolerance refers to the symptoms of the maldigestive disorder caused by an insufficient enzyme required to hydrolyze lactose to galactose and glucose.Genetic defects often cause a deficiency of lactase, as well as injuries to the mucosa lining of the intestines or with age (as we age our enzyme levels decrease). When lactose molecules remain in the intestine undigested, they absorb water and this can cause bloating, discomfort, cramping, diarrhea, and nausea. Bacterial fermentation along the intestinal tract that produces lactic acid and gas is also a characteristic of lactose intolerance. It is estimated that one in three adults suffer from lactose maldigestion and it appears to be inherited in about 80% of the world's population, including most Greeks, Asians, and Africans. Those who suffer from any discomfort after eating or drinking milk products can consume foods labeled lactose free or take an enzyme preparation such as Lact-Aid to aid digestion.

Do note, however, that lactose intolerance varies and the amount of lactose allowed in a diet depends on an individual's tolerance. Some people cannot tolerate milk, ice cream, or creamed foods, but they can eat aged cheeses and yogurt (some brands are better tolerated than others) without difficulty. Lactose products include:Grain Products: Breads and muffins made with milk, pancakes, and waffles; cake or cookie mixes, pie crusts made from butter or margarine, French toast, some dry cereals, and biscuits.Fruits and Vegetables: Canned and frozen fruits or vegetables processed with lactose, buttered, creamed, or breaded vegetables.Milk and Milk Products: Milk (dried, evaporated, nonfat, and whole), yogurt, ice cream, sherbet, cheese, custard, puddings, and whey and casein proteins manufactured with lactobacillus/acidophilus culture. Meat and Meat Alternatives: Meats, fish, or poultry creamed or breaded, sausage and other cold cuts containing nonfat-milk solids, some peanut butter, and omelets and souffl?s containing milk.Other: Instant coffees, margarine, dressings, sugar substitutes containing lactose, toffee, chocolate, creamed soups, butter, cream, some cocoas, caramels, chewing gum, some vitamin-mineral supplements, some drugs, peppermint, and butterscotch.Since calcium is a major component of many lactose-containing foods, it is vital that individuals who are lactose-intolerant receive adequate calcium from other foods (in fact, milk is not an ideal source of calcium, as will be discussed in Chapter Seven). These include almonds, brazil nuts, caviar, kelp, canned salmon, canned sardines, shrimp, soybeans, and turnip greens, broccoli, strawberries, and leafy greens.

Leafy greens are currently under suspicion as a viable calcium source since greens are now believed to contain certain calcium binding agents that prevent calcium absorption..

Agave Nectar is added in very small quantities for taste and texture The Sugar-Free/Lower Carbohydrate Gourmet Cookies have lower carbohydrate content than an average cookie - between 50% to 75% less carbohydrates. The term "low carbohydrate" is not used because there are recommendations, to the FDA, to use 9 grams, or less, per serving to achieve this classification. The carbohydrates were reduced as much as possible while still preserving a great taste.

The Sugar-Free/Lower Carbohydrate Gourmet Cookies have between 7 grams and 11 grams of carbohydrates in them depending on the cookie.

What is acid reflux disease?Acid reflux disease can and often is mistaken for heartburn. But the heartburn symptoms of acid reflux disease usually occur 2 or more days a week for at least 3 months and can damage your esophagus. At the top of your stomach is a muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), which normally opens and closes allowing food to enter. It also prevents the acid in your stomach from backing up into your esophagus. The trouble begins when the LES opens at inappropriate times, allowing acid from the stomach to get into the esophagus, where it doesn't belong.

Acid reflux disease can also lead to more serious medical conditions that may require hospitalization. Acid reflux in the throat can cause sore throat. If acid reaches the mouth, it can dissolve the enamel of the teeth. Millions of people have the disease and suffer from its most common symptom - frequent and persistent heartburn. Acid reflux disease can be treated and controlled. How do you get Acid Reflux?Factors contributing to acid reflux include fatty foods, cigarettes, chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, obesity, pregnancy and delayed stomach emptying.

Obesity and pregnancy increase pressures within the abdomen (body trunk), pushing the stomach contents back into the esophagus. Some patients have stomachs that empty their contents into the intestines very slowly. How serious is Acid Reflux? The lining of the esophagus may become ulcerated and can result in narrowing, making swallowing of food and, sometimes, liquids, painful and difficult. In people with esophagitis, there may also be an increased risk of cancer of the esophagus. How long does Acid Reflux last?Acid reflux can last several months or longer if not treated. How is Acid Reflux treated?Antacids are medicines that are commonly used to treat acid-related symptoms, like heartburn or indigestion, and work by neutralizing acid in the stomach. However, they are not usually recommended to treat the frequent heartburn suffered by people with GERD..

I'm 40-something years old, and for 40-something years breakfast has been a pain. Some of my earliest memories are getting ready for school with my mother insisting I eat a bowl of cereal. It just never interested me. Once high school started I was skipping breakfast and grabbing two apples on the run for lunch. All my life breakfast simply wasn't something I got interested in or thought about until I made this discovery...Someone introduced me to the most amazing concept for breakfast.

By now I was well entrenched in not taking time over the first meal of the day (and sometimes the second meal), so anything that captured my attention was going to have to be fast, no fuss and delicious to warrant any of my attention.Instead of cardboard cereal and bland milk, it's possible to start the day with power packed, nutritious, energizing and best of all, yummy smoothies. Smoothies have been around for ages, but I had never twigged they make a great start to the day. Imagine the delight of selecting from a range such as Chocolate Strawberry, Hazelnut Coffee, Peach Almond, Banana Bread & Apple Pie Surprise. Kid you not! You can make an endless variety to suit your own taste. Now this was interesting to me.Not only did I start regularly eating breakfast, my energy shot through the roof! This changed my whole perspective on being 40-something.

A period where I thought as a mother, wife, and corporate executive I was supposed to be tired all the time. Not true. Here is one of my favorite recipes. Strawberry Parfait3 tablespoons vanilla flavored soy/whey protein powder250g (6oz) strawberry flavoured fat free yoghurt1 cup strawberries4 ice cubesBlend in hand-held or benchtop blender. Pour into your favorite glassware and enjoy..

There is almost no occasion, event or holiday gift that can't be properly addressed by sending some kind of fruit basket. From humble beginnings as a device fruit growers used to expand their business beyond supermarkets, fruit baskets have become one of the most popular categories of gifts in the country. No longer is this merely a device for fruit growers to send out more of their freshly grown produce at retail prices.

Nowadays, many of the items advertised, sold and shipped as fruit baskets contain hardly any fruit at all. Fruit baskets have matured -- come of age, as they say -- and it's possible to satisfy a gift giving need by ordering a fruit basket from any of literally thousands of suppliers across the country.

You'll find that many of the local retail stores in town have some form of fruit basket deal to ship their wares, if not all year round, then certainly at appropriate holiday times. For at least two major gift-giving holidays, Mother's Day and Valentine's Day, fruit baskets surpassed flowers as the gift of choice on a national basis several years ago and have kept on growing ever since.

Built around themes for the holidays, fruit baskets can contain any type, and almost any amount of high quality merchandise designed to make the receiver very happy upon arrival. Christmas baskets specializing in winter fruits -- especially popular in the colder, Eastern states -- have been stuffing Santa's bag for many years. Valentine's Day brings chocolate-dipped goodies, especially cherries and strawberries, which really say "I Love You" to that special person in your life.

Baby baskets send the freshest of fruits for the new parents along with a few bottles of a healthy brand of baby food and other appropriate gifts for the newborn.

For Mother's Day, children delight in sending a choice selection of gourmet items to the woman who gave them life. And there's no better way to say "I Love You, Dad" on Father's Day than by sending a basket brimming with Dad's favorite items and a few new ones as well.

Even giant corporations have gotten accustomed to sending out appropriately stuffed fruit baskets to their highly valued clients and special employees, instead of more traditional fare. Fruit baskets containing all sorts of items have become the easiest and most personal way people can give something to one another that is almost always appreciated. In addition to being one of the easiest and most satisfying experiences, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who's ever returned a fruit basket for any reason whatsoever..

Dinner dates with new companions can make or break a budding romance. First dates can be nerve racking. Planning the date can be particularly difficult. Where should you go, what should you do and what would be enjoyable? You might worry that your date will not like the restaurant, the food or worse yet, the company. Once the date begins you may sometimes struggle with conversation, feel awkward and suffer from anxiety.

Don't be ashamed, it happens to everyone. The absolute best and incomparable sort of dinner date you can arrange is one that you prepare yourself at your own home. In this scenario you can be the male or the female, it does not matter. When a guy cooks for a girl, the woman feels special, elated, curious and very vulnerable because the man is in complete and total control. And when the woman cooks for her special guy, she gets to showcase any special culinary talents which can serve as a hint of more to come. When you cook for someone at home you can control the food, the ambiance, the music and even the romance.

You are also alone. You have a little bit less stress on both parties because you are not in front of a crowd of other diners and waiters, you can forget about small formalities and you have a better opportunity to be yourselves. And not to mention cooking for someone is incredibly romantic in itself. It shows heart, thoughtfulness and a generous effort to please the other person. The definition of an aphrodisiac is something that arouses or intensifies sexual desire. There are hundreds of different natural foods and herbs that are thought to be aphrodisiacs usually stemming from folklore and myths.

To be exact, there are no foods that will turn on sexual desire like the flick of a switch. No scientific tests have ever concluded that certain foods will suddenly make you feel "in the mood". Forget about Spanish fly. All that ever did was aggravate the urinal tract causing people to confuse the tingling sensation in their pelvic region with one of a sexual nature. However, there are certain natural foods that can help alter and guide the moment, and you might be surprised.Asparagus may be at the top of list as a natural aphrodisiac.

It contains healthy doses of natural vitamins and minerals including the two major "sex vitamins": vitamins D and E. Vitamin D is responsible for hormone production including sex hormones while vitamin E is responsible for increasing the amount of oxygenated blood being pumped into your sex organs. Notably, asparagus has always been considered an aphrodisiac even in the past because of its phallic appearance. The rest of the nutrients in asparagus increase vitality and work to energize the body by erradicating ammonia. Other foods rich in the sex vitamins are eggs and sunflower seeds.

I don't think we can work in the eggs for a romantic dinner, but try sprinkling your salad with some delicious sunflower seeds.Another aphrodisiac at the top of the list are chiles. Not only do chiles increase the heart rate, they also release endorphins into the body. Spicy foods in general help the body to increase its production of these so called "happy hormones" which are utilized by the body to cope with the burn. But the hormones have another effect, they give us a natural high. Chocolate, a popular aphrodisiac, also helps increase the endorphin rush.

Oysters on the half shell are not as potent as you might think. They contain very little nutritional value and the effect they have are on men, not women. First, the sweet and salty smell is very similar to the female pheromone and second, they contain a high amount of the zinc mineral which is a key ingredient for testosterone production. Aphrodisiacs do not have to have an effect on the body as described above. Delicious and fragrant smells can put people in the right mood and even make people feel more comfortable.

For example, men are insatiably attracted to the smell of apple-cinnamon candles while women are pleased with smell of lavender and rosemary spices. Use your imagination with the food selection as well. Some foods are just sexy. Grapes and champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, artichokes with hollandaise sauce and lamb chops are just a few of my favorites..
