Aphrodisiac Expert/Author Checks in for 2005 Valentine's Festivities

"Cooking and seduction are delicious arts that involve head, hand and heart. And great lovers are inspired by passion, as are great chefs," says Diane Brown, an aphrodisiac expert and author of The Seduction Cookbook.
The Fairmont Miramar Hotel Santa Monica follows suit by welcoming Brown as guest chef/cookbook author for their 2005 Valentine's Day festivities. Scheduled for hardcover release in February 2005, The Seduction Cookbook offers tips and techniques for shooting Cupid's delicious arrow straight through the heart of a lover's sensual appetite. With more than 80 heart-melting, temperature-raising recipes that are quickly and easily prepared, one can cook up an evening of romance without spending hours in the kitchen.

The book also contains expert tips and ideas indispensable to making the mood magical: grow an erotic herb garden; learn which aphrodisiac foods really work; set the stage for romance and seduction; bewitch your lover with decadent desserts; and make morning-after breakfasts to rekindle the passion. Integrating similar themes, the Valentine's festivities at The Fairmont Miramar Hotel will include aphrodisiac-inspired dinners and overnight accommodation packages as well as a cooking class with Ms. Brown and Andri Tscharner, the hotel's executive chef. What is Search Engine Optimization and Why Do I Need It?

Purchasing web design service is confusing with all of the different buzz words floating around. In an earlier article I discussed the differences between custom web design and web design based on templates. Another service being pushed by many web developers is search engine optimization (SEO). It has become a huge field in the last few years despite the fact that many purchasers of web development services are not clear on what it is or why they need to consider it in the making of their site. What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?Nearly every internet user finds new web sites using a search engine such as Google, Yahoo, or MSN.

You go to their site, type in what you are looking for and usually find it in the top two or three results. What goes on behind the scenes of every internet search involves complex software intelligent enough to figure out which pages are the most relevant to your search. If you are looking to buy a product online, you will search for the product...

Are you controlled by the urge to binge?

I gotta confess: I'm completely addicted to crisps. Any kind is fine. Don't mind the flavor - they all taste fine. My resolve weakens every time I think about chomping into one. Feeling the crunch, hearing the crackle, and getting that first taste of its tangy flavor.

Bliss - and if you are into crisps then you probably wish you had a packet right now - probably a big one.But maybe crisps aren't your thing. Probably there's another food that lures you into the refrigerator or the pantry cabinet. I can think of a few more that do it for me. Milk chocolate, do-nuts, crispy pies....and the list goes on. I have no doubt that you probably have a list of your own - right.

According to one study, 97% of women (compared to 68% of men) experience cravings on food.So how do you control these urges that pull you away from your diet plan and down the temporary joy of self-indulgence? I researched on the topic to give you what some experts advise on how to enjoy that art called eating...

A Guide to Fruit Baskets

There is almost no occasion, event or holiday gift that can't be properly addressed by sending some kind of fruit basket. From humble beginnings as a device fruit growers used to expand their business beyond supermarkets, fruit baskets have become one of the most popular categories of gifts in the country. No longer is this merely a device for fruit growers to send out more of their freshly grown produce at retail prices.

Nowadays, many of the items advertised, sold and shipped as fruit baskets contain hardly any fruit at all. Fruit baskets have matured -- come of age, as they say -- and it's possible to satisfy a gift giving need by ordering a fruit basket from any of literally thousands of suppliers across the country.

You'll find that many of the local retail stores in town have some form of fruit basket deal to ship their wares, if not all year round, then certainly at appropriate holiday times. For at least two major gift-giving holidays, Mother's Day and...

For the Love of Chocolate

For the Love of Chocolate.Almost everyone loves chocolate. In a recent study conducted by the Chocolate Manufacturers Association, chocolate was ranked as America's favorite flavor. Of course, the love of chocolate is not unique to modern society. As far back as 2000 years ago, the Mayans created a drink from crushed cocoa beans and referred to chocolate as "food of the gods."Chocolate might even be good for us! Some medical studies have indicated some health benefits associated with eating chocolate. According to Larry Graham, president of the American Cocoa Research Institute (ACRI), chocolate is very high in antioxidants.

In fact, it contains one of the highest levels of antioxidant compounds that can be found in any food and may reduce the risk for coronary heart disease. Subjects in a study conducted at Pennsylvania State University experience higher HDL, "good," cholesterol levels when they included small amounts of chocolate in their diets. Experts have concluded that eating...
